What we do with your information

When you use the Wordsearch newsletter sign-up form on our website we indefinitely retain your full name and email address in our email provider Mailchimp. We use your data to send you email communication including company news, case studies, announcements and insights. We take data protection very seriously, and ensure you that any personal data we hold is properly protected. We do not retain any personal information which would be considered unnecessary to achieve our purposes. We will never share the personal data you have provided with another organisation without your consent.

We also process data for the purpose of direct mail marketing. In this instance it is not always possible to rely on consent, so this data is processed under a different lawful basis (see the ‘legitimate interest’ section). We will only ever send you materials which we deem to be relevant to your position. If you have received marketing materials from Wordsearch with or without consent this does not affect your right to opt-out, or any of your rights protected by GDPR legislation.

Our website uses Google analytics software which employs cookies to tracks your anonymous movements around our website. This is in order for us to understand how visitors interact with our website.

When you provide us with personal information for email newsletters we use a double opt-in system to ensure we have your full consent.

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at or mailing us at: Wordsearch 148 Tooley Street, London, SE12TU, United Kingdom

Legitimate interest

In situations where it is not possible to gain consent before the processing of data, we do so under the lawful basis of legitimate interest. We have completed a legitimate interest assessment and our findings strongly support this. Wordsearch uses personal data to create and maintain relationships with individuals and businesses that we believe could benefit from our services, making it mutually beneficial. If you object to the way we are using your data you have the right to opt out at any time. Details of how to do so can be found in the ‘questions and contact information’ section of this privacy policy.
